A Radiological Study of Ossification at the Lower End of Humerus for Estimation of Age among Girls in Chattogram, Bangladesh

Background: Estimation of the age an individual from appearance and fusion ossification centers is considered as a reasonable well accepted method in field medical legal professions. Age estimation essential during employment, marriage, fixation criminal responsibility, judicial punishment, exercise adult franchise many other purposes. Bony can be determine by study long bones through epiphysis with diaphysis. The challenges bony are varying place to depending on geographic terrain, climatic, dietetic, hereditary, disease factor. So this aimed look out status at lower end humerus for among girls Chattogram.
 Material methods: This cross sectional observational was performed period July 2018 June 2019on normal healthy student 12 20 year Prabartak School College, Chattogram Chittagong Medical Chattogram. students (50 girls) were taken subject they divided eight groups according their age. X-ray right elbow joint each every subjects antero-posterior lateral view. x-ray films studied radiologicallyand interpreted estimate byunion centers.
 Results: average epiphyseal union found follows:Fusion epicondyle capitulum 12-13 years. Fusion withtrochlea girlsat distal conjoint epiphyses shaft medial 13-14 years.
 Conclusion: In general occurwithin 12-14 years girls.
